Free play and accounts

Starting5.org is a free, independent basketball trivia project. It is not affiliated with the NBA, any team, or starting5.app. There are no subscriptions, purchases or cash prizes. You are responsible for keeping your account password private.

Fair play

Do not automate guesses, interfere with other players, attempt unauthorized access, or use the service to harass others. Public leaderboard scores are based on completed account games and may be removed when a puzzle is corrected or a result is found to be abusive.

Historical answers

Lineups and position assignments are editorial selections and may contain mistakes. Published source notes explain the selection. We may withdraw a disputed puzzle; historical scores may be excluded from rankings. Demo data is for testing only.

Availability and rights

The service may change or be interrupted, and browser progress may be lost. Team and player names identify historical facts; their use does not imply endorsement or a license to reuse third-party images or data. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law gives you.
